  1. Compliments to ALL involved in making this website happen. I can’t count the number of songs I’ve purchased and new bands I now follow thanks to the great job you do here. I post a video a day with commentary to promote these indie bands – trying to do my small part. I just wish these bands would make more videos. For some reason I can’t put my finger on, a quality-made video that catches the spirit of the song enhances the audio. Does anyone have a recommendation on how I might search the web to increase my chances of finding videos? I normally type “official video ” at Google or Bing. This seems pretty effective.

So you’ve guessed I’m long-winded. One last request: someone make a video for “Sink/Let it Sway” by Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Please. Love that song!

  2. obviously i’m working my way through september a little late….but since you asked a question up top, i’ll answer:

    2734.

  3. You left out 6’1″ by Liz Phair, Smashing Pumpkins’ “1979″, Springsteen’s “She’s the One”, Imperial Teen’s “You’re One”, Feist’s “1234″, Teen Idols’ “20 Below”, Grant Hart’s “2541″, Richard Thompson’s much-covered “1952 Vincent Black Lightning”, Garbage’s “#1 Crush”, Blondie’s “11:59″, the Magnetic Fields’ “100,000 Fireflies”, and of course the Cure’s “10.15 Saturday Night” and Big Star’s “Thirteen”. Some of those may have been left out deliberately, but at least SOME of them have got to be oversights.

(Those are just some personal favorites: You picked a really strong theme.)

  4. I just love that you guys make it so easy to preview so many artists at once! Keep up the good work. I’m searching for more music to add to my Song of the Day blog. Looks like I don’t have to look much farther. Thanks!

    Love it!

  5. Nice assortment of songs. I haven’t heard ’24 Hours’ in what seems like forever.

  6. Hey, I love your site and visit all the time. I’ve discovered a lot of great music here. But I cant read the gray text on the new black background.

    • Hey Ben – Thanks for the heads up – we had a piece of code that was broken and now it’s fixed! You, like all of our readers and visitors, freaking rock!!
