Across many regions of the United States Sunday, rain is in the forecast. From the San Francisco Bay Area to Boston, from Texas to Chicago, and Portland to New York, there is a common theme – rain.  Therefore, it makes sense that this third installment (listen to/download mix one and two) of the recent Sounds of Spring mixtape series focuses on songs about rain. So, let’s get right to it with this first of a two-part mix series called Songs For A Rainy Day. These two volumes will conclude this year’s springtime-themed  mixtapes. You can also check out 2010′s Songs About Spring and Celebrate The Days; and, 2009′s spring songs playlist volumes one, two and three.

  2. Call me blonde, but I didn’t see MM like the title said…

  3. Fool in the Rain- Led Zeppelin

  4. “Dry Up the Rain” by the Beta Band.

    • The Rain Song-Led Zeppelin

      • Hi Bill: Yes, that awesome Led Zep track was definitely on our larger rain songs list, and we already have it lined up to be featured in the next installment of ‘Songs For A Rainy Day’ – stay tuned :)

P.S. – We are HUGE Led Zeppelin fans. Few classic rock bands can claim they created consistent and stunning art rock mixed with blues and other influences. Also, if you are a Led Zeppelin, U2 and/or Jack White fan you gotta see the documentary ‘It Might Get Loud’. This is an especially must-see documentary for guitarists.

  5. Rain off of the Cult’s Love album would have been good.
