Arctic Monkeys Launch Christmas Concert Tour In U.K. to End Blockbuster Year

Arctic Monkeys, riding high of the success of their latest album Favourite Worst Nightmare, and the latest single Teddy Picker, are set to kick-off a 11-day, seven show tour of the U.K. and the Netherlands.Tickets for all seven of the Arctic Monkeys' shows scheduled from Dec. 6 to Dec. 15 sold out in hours after they went on sale last month.
The super-hot indie rock-pop band shows no sign of cooling down for the winter, even after an extensive concert tour of North America and Europe in 2007, not to numerous, memorable appearances at indie rock music festivals around the world.
Add to that a successful new album, popular YouTube and MySpace music videos and a nearly endless stream of worldwide press coverage.
The tour will kick-off with an opening show in Amsterdam this Thursday, December 6 at the HMH and end with two shows on Dec. 14 and Dec. 15 at the AECC in Aberdeen, Scotland.
