Metric is a Canadian-based new wave/indie rock band originally formed in New York City in 1998. In recent years, they have gained a loyal following and performed at many summer music festivals worldwide.Metric's first LP, Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?, wasn't released until 2003, but earned the band a Juno Award nomination for Best Alternative Album. They just released their fourth studio album, Fantasies, last week.
